Big Hearts. Brave Moves.

Big Hearts. Brave Moves.

Three children lying on grass, smiling and looking up at the camera, with one girl having curly blonde hair, a boy with straight blonde hair, and a girl with red hair and freckles.

We help Tampa kids feel strong inside and brave outside—using yoga and SEL tools that fit real classrooms, busy homes, and big-hearted communities.

Because a single mindful breath today shapes tomorrow’s brave hearts.

  • Smiling children sitting outdoors under a large black umbrella, with one child climbing the umbrella pole, in a forested area.

    Confidence

When a wobbly tree pose turns into a solid one, kids learn they can do hard things off the mat, too.

  • Child lying on his back outside, eyes closed, enjoying the sunlight

    Calm

Lion’s breath and belly balloons flip the body’s ‘calm switch,’ turning meltdowns into mindful pauses.

  • A young girl and an older woman sit on a carpeted floor with their foreheads touching, sharing a moment of connection and prayer in a cozy room.

    Connection

Partner poses and circle rituals turn classmates into teammates—because every kid belongs in the story.

Why it matters to us…

We’re not here to add to your to-do list.
We’re here to make it lighter.

When kids feel empowered, everything shifts. They breathe deeper, listen better, and move through the world with more ease. The research backs it, and so do our stories—from classrooms to car rides. Whether you're a teacher trying to meet 20 different needs or a parent navigating big feelings at bedtime, our work meets you where you are—with warmth, wisdom, and play.

Megan Lopez
Founder & Co-Owner

Megan guides yoga for the young and “young at heart”, including moms, babies & toddlers + kids. She started teaching kids yoga in 2016, while also working as a guidance counselor, and had previously taught dance to little ones. Young at Heart came to be in 2022, after 6 years of running her previous kid’s yoga business.

Having three girls of her own has only furthered her passion for guiding children in this practice, from the start. Her training/certifications include Strala: Kids Yoga Teacher Training & The Art of Sequencing, Kidding Around Yoga: KAY & PreKAY, Bella Prana’s Prenatal Training & Purple Dot Yoga Project’s Trauma Informed Training.

Christy Klipp
Co-Owner

Christy is a co-owner of Young at Heart and a career yoga teacher with 10+ years of experience, teaching in studios and communities across the U.S. and abroad. She’s a community-builder at heart, known for creating spaces where kids feel safe quickly, seen, and excited to jump in.

She began teaching kids through brand experiences in 2016 with Honest Ade and Mommy Nearest, and in 2020 she taught kids yoga virtually for The Fresh Air Fund’s summer camp, helping families stay grounded during a season when everything went upside down. In 2022, she met Megan and joined Young at Heart, fell in love with the mission, and by 2025 officially stepped in as a co-owner.

Her teaching style is warm, grounded, and genuinely fun. Expect imaginative stories, playful yoga games, and simple breath-and-body tools kids can use when real life gets big. As a mom of four, her why is personal. She wants kids to feel at home in themselves and families to feel supported every step of the way.
